Artist Talk March 19th 2020 Canceled Due to the circumstances surrounding both the world wide outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the mounting risks of international travel - especially from Asia - Sato Sakura Gallery is remiss to have to announce the cancellation of our planned Artist Talk event with Nihonga master Yuji Musashihara which was scheduled for Thursday, March 19th 2020. This decision was not made lightly and is intended to keep the health interests of both our community, and our artists in mind above all else. We hope that everyone is able to stay safe and healthy during this trying period. We apologize to each everyone who had sent their RSVP and sincerely hope to provide other future opportunities like this one in the very near future. Artist Talk : Dialogues with Yuji Musashihara

We invite you to join us at Sato Sakura Gallery as we sit down for an intimate discussion with master animal portrait artist Yuji Musashihara – one of two currently featured painters in our special exhibition ‘Curious Beasts.’
Inspired by fauna both large and small, exotic and domestic, Yuji Musashihara’s painting style achieves almost life-like detail in order to capture the rich emotions and breadth of expression of his animal subjects. And yet despite the veridical style of his motifs, Musashihara’s works express an air of whimsy - inviting the viewer to celebrate the captivating beauty inherent in all living creatures.
